My Mom is a Breast cancer Survivor, beautiful, and happy & 67. I want the the world to see her. How? What? ?

She had a mastectomy & her breasts look great & cancer free forever and she is so happy she made that choice and so am I!I also feel that the mastectomy has contributed to her figure (she has a body like a 20 year old). Is there a beauty pageant for woman her age? If not, how do I start one? I want younger mothers to be inspirited by seeing that there is a happy life after cancer and they too can live long and look beautiful.
Most importantly, I want younger woman and mothers who are faced with the choice of a double mastectomy to know that getting a double mastectomy is ok!

Proper Diet Can Help Prevent Breast Cancer – Dr Samadi – Fox News

Dr. David Samadi of the Fox News Medical “A-Team” and Vice Chair of the Urology Department at Mt. Sinai Hospital provides breast cancer prevention tips. Over 200000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Much like prostate cancer, early detection is key to curing the disease. When it is detected early there is a 95% cure rate at 5 years. Some steps that can be taken to help prevent breast cancer include: Regular exercise and weight loss — Reducing body fat reduces estrogen, which in turn reduces the risk of developing breast cancer. Early detection — Talk to your doctor about appropriate screening methods for women in your age and risk group. Have a healthy diet — Eat fruits and vegetables and be sure to get enough of the good fats (Omega-3) found in foods such as salmon, tuna, and avocados. Avoid white flour and sugar, and instead replace them with whole grain alternatives. Also, avoid alcohol and fatty foods such as grilled red meats. Finally, anything that increases estrogen levels may increase your risk of developing breast cancer. Do Vegetables and Fruits prevent Breast Cancer Recurrence?

I made this video because I think the media headlines did a disservice to the public by oversimplifying the complex considerations behind a study looking at fruits and vegetables. The study called the Women’s Healthy Eating and Living (WHEL) Randomized Trial was published in JAMA last week: Influence of a diet very high in vegetables, fruit, and fiber and low in fat on prognosis following treatment for breast cancer: the Women’s Healthy Eating and Living (WHEL) randomized trial. JAMA. 2007 Jul 18;298(3):289-98. There was, however, an editorial that went along with the study, that tries to address some key questions about the study (such as, did the women who were on the intervention actually follow through on the intervention — the answer which seems to be unclear). Please see: Fat, fruits, vegetables, and breast cancer survivorship. JAMA. 2007 Jul 18;298(3):335-6. In the upcoming weeks, there should be more editorials published in specialty nutrition journals addressing the different methodological considerations about the study, as well as address the broader picture of the effects of eating healthy extra fruits and vegetables. I will try to keep this video description updated. In the meantime, please know that eating extra fruits and vegetables will almost certainly bring good benefits to your health.
